I had said bye bye to Harry the day before...We ate Irish chocolate cake, drank orange juice and coffee and fed the hard working ants...who carried off our crumbs...Harry called them "Working buddies" as they all pulled their weight in taking their 'find' back home for the kids....
These little ants where all working together pushing and pulling this piece of oatmeal to where they wanted it to go.... and others where rushing over to help...I loved Harry's description that they were...'working buddies'.
Wallie-bear stuck with me most of the day as I was readying myself doing last minute things with Cheryle around the house...he knew something was afoot or apaw..(sorry couldn't resist that...)
Cheryle and I sat outside in the back garden drinking a cool beer as I had my last gaze for awhile at the beauty she and David had created here...in the magnificent gardens of Sweetbriar.
These Angel Trumpets truly take your breath away..
Tis the breath of Angels....
As is this little one...beautiful Gracie...will miss my evening walks with this sweet girl..
Wonderful complex but so lovable Mingo...growing in trust every day..and now loving his head and body rubs...:) will he remember me when I get back..?? or will I have to start all over again with his trust...will be interesting to see...
and of course Walliebear the Buddha Cat
and hope to be sleeping with them again all soon!!!:)
Cheryle had helped me get my things organised at the airport and now I was on the plane waiting for departure..was delayed for some reason due to complications apparently at Gatwick..so new flight route had to be imputed...still the sunset put on a farewell show...beautiful...
It was dark by the time we took off, felt sad looking down at the lights of Orlando...
Couple of good movies in with several glasses of Merlot and lots of lovely food, some sleep....waking up....dawn in a different and much colder hemisphere....
The Spinnaker Tower...am sitting on the fast cat ferry waiting...the Americas Cup is racing through so Engine defers to sail...and so it should!!! was a beautiful sight to see them sail past...but I was soooo tired I could not drag myself up to take pics....
Train and fast cat ferry ride over with am now at destination Ryde Pier.... 1pm Thursday its sunny but feels a bit chilly....David is en route and will drive along that Pier to come and meet me...
The Hovercraft skimming across the waters en-route to Portsmouth...mingling with the racing boats.
