THE THREE AMIGO'S

๐Ÿพ     ๐Ÿพ    ๐Ÿพ

This is a very hard blog to write as these three amazing cats have become my close friends over the 4 years they have lived here.  Their owner/guardians Cheryle and David are moving overseas and, sadly cannot take them along. I was there when Mingo and Gracie were chosen from a rehoming centre, and met Wallace a couple of months later when Cheryle rescued him from Pet Supermarket. We hope and pray that whoever buys their home will want them too!!

If not, please consider bringing these three friends into your heart and family, giving them a loving peaceful home where they can spend the rest of their lives together.

  Here is their story:

 Mingo.  Gracie.  Wallace.

All together 2016

Mingo and Gracie 6 yrs old, and Wallace 5.  Mingo and Gracie were in the same rehoming centre and became friends. Wallace (aka Walliebear) was adopted 2wks later.  They have all lived together here at Sweetbriar since 2014 and have become close friends.

Gracie is protective of the boys and grooms them from time to time..

As mentioned they are all rescue cats, and most likely have had a tough start to life.  It reflects in Mingo and Gracie, but more so in Mingo.. I will go into the nature and character of each cat to give you a good insight as to their likes/dislikes and behaviour.

Handsome Mingo:

Mingo 6 yrs old, is a very handsome, striking boy, with long silky fur, and beautiful tail, but sadly is afraid of everything: loud noises, children and dogs.  He loves to sleep in the garden during the day,  at night  prefers to sleep on his mum and dad's bed.

Handsome shy Mingo, relaxed and asleep in the garden.

Once he begins to trust you will form a close bond with one person and want to be with you on the bed where he will feel safe. It took one and a half years for this bond to form between him and his mum Cheryle.Cheryle has made up songs for all three of them, which indeed they love, and it helped form a bond, so if you to were have these three as lifelong friends, hopefully you would sing their individual songs to them which would help in their transition to feeling at peace and at home.

Beautiful Principessa Gracie:

Miss Gracie posing under the picture of Peepers... perfect image!!

Shy, sweet Gracie also 6yrs old, has the most beautiful eyes with the softest fur.  She has a mischieveous, curious nature, and is very intelligent, she certainly is the maitriarch of the group and likes to groom the boys from time to time. Gracie will come to you in her own time, again, once she begins to trust.

Walliebear and Gracie on my bed..two book ends!!

Often she sleeps with the person she has bonded with, but will occasionally sleep with her brothers....

Effects of reverse spine massage...from Auntie Catherine
She loves having gentle tummy rubs, and wonderful reverse spine massages!! All three look forward to Temptation treats in the morning and last thing at night, and of course their individual songs sung whenever you feel like it๐Ÿ˜Š.

Once she gets to know you Gracie will come for a walk, she looks forward to it around 7 or 8pm.

Waiting for her evening walk...

We normally amble along with a glass of wine, its a quiet culdesac, stopping to talk to neighbours whilst she takes her time behind us, stopping at various spots to do her own thing.  She will wait for you if you go into a neighbours garden to sit and chat, waiting patiently sometimes for an hour!!

Both Mingo and Gracie still shy away if you approach to stroke them even  after 5 years of being here, sometimes you can be rewarded though if Gracie is in the right mood and you come to her gently. Mingo of course lets his mum get close. Gracie will tolerate her brothers, but not other cats!!.

 Wallace, aka Walliebear...the Buddha Cat:

I blend in don't I??? Wonderful Wallace!

Nicknamed the Buddha Cat because he is very laid back when all is right.  Cheryle found the youngest of the three at Pet Supermarket he is five. She saw him and immediately fell in love with his affectionate nature and how adorable he was.  Mingo and Gracie were at that time not demonstrating any affection of wanting to be touched and Cheryle was missing this, as her  affectionate and cuddly cat Japser had died a couple of months before.  So beautiful Wallace joined the clan. In his early childhood his former guardian accidentally closed the door on him as was looking in the fridge, which has resulted in a bit of a wobbly walk, but he can run and move fast like the rest of them when needs be!!

Wallace at around 1 and half years old, his fluffy cheeks and coat not yet fully grown.

Wallace or as I like to call him Walliebear, has the sweetest of nature's, he loves to sleep in the garden and has a favourite plant pot he like to doze in...

Dozing happily in his favourite blue plant pot....

Again, once Wallace gets to know you he will love to be stroked, and 'enjoys' being groomed with his pink brush as he has a lot of fur!! He will sometimes come and sit beside you when you are watching TV and loves his tummy tickled.  He dosn't like to be picked up much, but if you do, he will if its in a special way, but only for a moment as you gaze into each others eyes! then he wants down.  He won't go to everyone and choses who to be friends with.  He dosn't like dogs, loud noises, hates thunder and will run under a bed as he is terrified. Sometimes you will see him and Gracie playing, chasing each other around the house.  He adores his catnip carton which Cheryle has put some catnip in and pierced it with some holes, he rolls that around the floor, nudging it and holding it close to him. Beautiful quiet, gently Wallace will sometimes sleep with you on the bed mostly in Winter as he prefers to snooze outside on Summer evenings.

Sweet gentle Wallace

In order to secure that all three cats stay together, realizing this could be a big ask. The owners will deposit $500 per cat into either their present vetinerary practice, or a practice that is closer to you,  in order to cover their yearly vaccinations and flea meds. They will also contribute toward food bills.

All three cats are fully chipped, neutered and spayed and vaccinations are up to date.

Three cat carriers, scratch posts, toys and brushes and Gracie's pet blanket come with them.

They all know how to use cat litter trays and cat flaps.

Anything else you wish to know either call Cheryle on 312 371 9658 or Catherine 407 760 5336.

They live in Orlando.

If you can't rehome all three.  Wallace could live on his own with you as he normally spends lots of time by himself dozing in the garden, but Gracie and Mingo would have to go together.
