This is a photo of my beautiful Thomas a couple of days before he died October 2010. My heart broke into a million pieces, almost as heartbreaking as when I lost my mother 9 years earlier, he was the one that got me through those hard years when gut wrenching grief is ever present. He brought me love, smiles, fun, companionship with his Buddha like wisdom and deep understanding of my pain. I love...no adore cats, every shape, every form, every character, they all have their own story to tell and want to give so much, if you let them and allow their nature to blossom. But Thomas was exceptionally special, he was truly one of a kind. Maybe all cat lovers say this about their special friends who they share their lives with. I know reading many posts from my Facebook friends it would seems so. We are the lucky ones to have formed such a bond and to have shared our lives with them. We know we will see them again, I have no doubt Thomas will be waiting for me with his big beautiful green eyes. From time to time I'll change the Blogs main photo, so it won't always be Thomas you are seeing, it maybe another special cat that I have formed a life long relationship with, or a scene I have captured whilst going through each day. I hope you enjoy my blogs, please feel free to |send feedback or post a comment.
This blog will find me capturing moments in my day, for sure there will be lots of pictures of my feline friends as I meet them by chance or living with friends. Three such wonderful cats will be featured quite a bit!! Gracie, Mingo and Wallace (aka Walliebear), but more of them later.
You will also see lots of pictures of sunsets....lots...I am not an early riser and am fine with that..some of us are Owls and some Larks, I've done both and prefer sunsets to sunrises...I am now of an age if I get a judgmental attitude from someone about this or snide remarks....well they won't be in my circle of friends for very long!! Live and let live all part of the beauty of being individual, living in a free society. I love being up whilst most around me are asleep, listening to the night sounds, looking at the moon and stars and composing music when all is still and quiet..
Another Day was composed on such a night...no distractions...just me my guitar and musings from my soul....
What else will you find on this blog...well everything that I capture and do....talking about conservation, music and why its so important to me...the process of why I wrote a song and where the music and lyrics sprung from. Beauty that I see, kindness that I witness that moves the heart and inspires me to do more.....food that I cook and how good it feels to be a vegetarian almost vegan...wonderful people that I meet and form life long friendships with. Capturing the essence and form in macro picture taking, seeing the extraordinary in the simplest and humblest of plants and insects.......all of that and more.....and of course the unexpected and exciting things that happen along the wonderful Journey of Life...
Namaste and Love
